Beryl’s mother had vascular dementia and she cared for her mother for over 2 years prior to her passing at home. Because of her first-hand experience with dementia and knowing the challenges for the person and the family living with dementia, Beryl became a Certified Dementia Trainer in 2010. 

  Because of her vast experience as an RN in multiple roles within the healthcare industry, Beryl is a passionate advocate for appropriate, quality care based on the wishes, beliefs, and health state of every patient.  Beryl provides timely information to the patient and family so decisions can be made to support their healthcare.

 As an End of Life Doula, Beryl takes the “mystery” and FEAR out of dying and death while supporting the wishes and beliefs of the person. Beryl works as a liaison for the person to try and ensure their final wishes are achieved in a beautiful death.
